NEW BALANCE 327 FOR MEN & WOMEN: ITS DESIGN AND INSPIRATION

New Balance is founded in 1906 by William J. Riley , a Boston shoemaker which aims to help people suffering from foot problems by developing orthopedic insoles that offer better support in the arch of the foot. The brand became known internationally in the 1960s when it decided to enter the running shoes . Sneakers like the New Balance 990 and the New Balance 992 make New Balance shoes famous and have become popular over the decades thanks to their quality and their comfort .
In 2020 , the equipment manufacturer called on Charlotte Lee , a British designer based in Manchester who has worked with the brand since 2014. During her creative process, the designer was able to draw on the brand's archives and draw inspiration from models from the 1970s such as the New Balance 320 and the Super Comp . The New Balance 327 includes several details such as the asymmetrical midsole, the V-shaped toe-box as well as the studded outsole .

NEW BALANCE 327 CASABLANCA: AN UNEXPECTED REVELATION

For the launch of the model, the brand with the capital " N " collaborates with the Parisian label Casablanca and presents the silhouette during the Fall/Winter 2020 fashion show at Paris Fashion Week . The luxury brand founded by Charaf Tajer reinvents the New Balance 327 by offering it a treatment retro-chic using elements inspired by Tennis Clubs . The silhouette's meticulous details are worthy of a haute couture house on the iterations Green And Orange aesthetically inspired Mediterranean , very dear to the Franco-Moroccan designer. Later, the two entities will continue their collaboration by offering us the iterations Black , White , Red And Holly Green on the New Balance 327 but also on new models such as the New Balance 237 and the XC-72 .

NEW BALANCE 327: THE RENEWAL OF THE EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER

The New Balance 327 is the first model specially designed to establish New Balance's new strategy. It consists of reintroducing an archive model of the brand by associating with another entity, whether it is a brand, a designer or other label. This is particularly the case of the New Balance 550 which is originally a model designed in 1989 by Steven Smith which failed to conquer the basketball shoe market compared to models like the Air Jordan 4 . We have to wait until 2020 and Teddy Santis, creator of the high-end streetwear boutique Love Leon Dore to see the dazzling success of retro sneakers among men and women. The very popular New Balance 2002R is also an archive model from 2010 that the equipment manufacturer decided to relaunch with the Peace Be The Journey and Water Be The Guide collaborations by Salehe Bembury from 2020. The following year, the Boston brand decided to partner with footwar Chinese designer Yue Wu to create the Refined Future collection more commonly known as Protection Pack .
